weekly make #44

This week I made a start on a sculpture for Construction Gallery. The bulk of it will be built on-site but I am making the top in advance. The peak of this mountain is currently 2 feet tall so that it can fit through our front door sideways...
 
 I also made the discovery that you shouldn't buy parcel tape from Sam 99p if you want to hold your sculpture together!

This week at work I taught the three year olds mono printing - these are my sample prints, I like them a lot:



and then we went to Loughborough for my 30th birthday party, so Heather and I made a Red Velvet cake (the Hummingbird way) which I think is the natural conclusion to the evolution of cakes. Here's ours:

It's been a busy month or so and while I've been making, I haven't had time to do posting - here's I Walk With Freer Step. I finished it before Christmas and it was for sale at Laura and Lauren's Christmas Arty Party, but nobody bought it, so from the 18th of this month, it will be available to buy from Construction Gallery in Tooting...
